Brisbane in the State of Queensland

Brisbane is located on the banks of the Brisbane River. The population is approximately 1.7 million. It is the metropolis of the subtropics and Australia’s third largest centre. In fact, it is becoming more popular in recent years both domestically and internationally as the preferred place to live, study or visit. In fact, you are truly spoiled for choice of study and leisure activities when it comes to living in Brisbane.

One of the most attractive reasons to study in Brisbane is that it offers a unique study experience. While you are located in a sophisticated big city, you are also surrounded by world heritage rainforests (Daintree Rainforest) and coral reefs (The Great Barrier Reef) only a few hours drive away.

So, you can be sipping an espresso coffee in a swanky Brisbane eatery one minute, and then be driving to a secluded world-heritage listed beach the next. In fact, Byron Bay, Australia’s iconic beach holiday town is only a few hours drive away by car or bus. (Although it’s located just inside the border of New South Wales near Queensland, it’s still very much a “Queensland” town in terms of climate and lifestyle i.e. sunny, subtropical and a beach lover’s paradise).
